Changes in the Calculation of the Recycling Fee for Equipment from Russia and Belarus

By Order of the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 20, 2026 No. 54, amendments were introduced to the Methodology for calculating the recycling (utilization) fee (hereinafter – the Methodology).

According to the amendments, the calculation of the recycling fee is carried out for each type and category of motor vehicles and self-propelled agricultural machinery using the coefficients предусмотренные in Appendix 4 to the Methodology.

These changes apply to motor vehicles and self-propelled agricultural machinery imported from the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation.

In this regard, starting from May 8, 2026, updated rates and coefficients will be applied when calculating the recycling fee for the specified categories of motor vehicles and self-propelled agricultural machinery.
