EcoQolday: Training seminars for waste management companies held in five regions of Kazakhstan

In the cities of Kostanay, Petropavl, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Semey, and Pavlodar, JSC Zhasyl Damu organized a series of offline seminars for waste management companies. The events, supported by local akimats, were dedicated to the introduction of the EcoQolday information system aimed at improving the efficiency of the waste management sector.

Around 100 industry representatives – managers and specialists of companies responsible for waste collection and sorting – took part in the training. The main topics included recent amendments to the Rules on the use of funds by the EPR Operator, interaction procedures within the system, contract execution, reporting requirements, and the mechanism for receiving payments for recycling.

Participants emphasized that the implementation of the system opens new opportunities for the development of the recycling industry, enhances cooperation between government agencies and businesses, and accelerates the transition to a “green” economy.

JSC Zhasyl Damu plans to continue its active efforts to promote and expand EcoQolday. The company’s mission is not only to ensure transparency in recycling processes but also to support environmental initiatives, develop separate waste collection infrastructure, and foster ecological culture across all regions of the country.
