A series of offline seminars for waste collection companies was held in the cities of Zhezkazgan, Karaganda, Oral, Kyzylorda, Atyrau, Taraz, Shymkent, Taldykorgan, and Konaev. The training sessions were organized by representatives of JSC Jasyl Damu with the support of local akimats.
The main goal of the seminars was to explain the opportunities and benefits of implementing the EcoQolday information system aimed at improving waste management efficiency.
The EcoQolday project is implemented by JSC Jasyl Damu under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It is a modern environmental initiative designed to promote the recycling of paper, plastic, and glass waste. Participants of the system receive monetary rewards based on the volume of recyclable waste collected, motivating companies to enhance their activities in waste collection, sorting, and recycling.
About 200 representatives of the sector – heads and specialists of companies responsible for the collection and sorting of municipal solid waste – took part in the seminars. During the sessions, participants received practical explanations about the platform’s functionality, payment calculation mechanisms, and the prospects for digitalization of the waste management sector.
Through the implementation of EcoQolday, Kazakhstan is making confident progress toward developing a green economy, reducing landfill waste, and improving the environmental situation in cities. The project supports small and medium-sized businesses, creates new jobs, and contributes to the national campaign “Taza Qazaqstan.”
JSC Jasyl Damu will continue to hold training meetings and develop digital tools in the regions to make waste management more efficient, sustainable, and economically attractive.
