JSC Jasyl Damu continues its efforts to implement and promote the principles of the EcoQolday information system.
On September 8, 2025, an offline seminar was held at the Turkestan Region Akimat for local waste collection organizations, aimed at explaining the principles of the EcoQolday information system. Earlier, in early September, a similar seminar took place at the Almaty city Akimat for local waste collection companies.
In Almaty, the seminar was opened with a welcome speech by Nurzhan Kabdoldanov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of JSC Jasyl Damu, while in Turkestan Region, the company was represented by Alimzhan Sabdenov. The speakers provided detailed explanations of the amendments made to the Rules for the Use of Funds by the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Operator.
One of the key innovations was the inclusion of waste collection companies serving the population into the list of organizations eligible for support in the implementation of separate waste collection and sorting systems. This support includes the installation of essential infrastructure such as collection points, reverse vending machines, and containers.
Each event gathered around 40 industry representatives. The discussions covered topics such as interaction with the EPR Operator, contract formalization, reporting procedures, and receiving payments for each ton of collected and recycled waste.
Participants noted the prospects for the development of the recycling sector and emphasized the importance of further cooperation to improve the efficiency of the waste management system.
JSC Jasyl Damu will continue to actively support environmental initiatives, develop modern infrastructure for separate collection and recycling of waste, and contribute to the formation of ecological culture in Kazakhstan.
