A regional environmental summit is taking place in the capital from April 22 to 24.
During a panel session, Yerzhan Sarsenbay, Chairman of the Board of JSC “Zhasyl Damu,” presented Kazakhstan’s approach to reforming the waste management system and developing a circular economy.
The key focus is increasing the share of waste recycling through the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) mechanism and transitioning to a green economy.
The summit once again demonstrated Kazakhstan’s active role in environmental policy.
