IX Eurasian Business Forum Green Energy & Waste Recycling Forum 2025: "Municipal Waste: a new Concept, support mechanisms and digital solutions"

JSC “Zhasyl Damu” participated in the IX Eurasian Business Forum "Green Energy & Waste Recycling Forum 2025" (hereinafter referred to as the Forum), which took place on July 3-4, 2025 in Astana on the territory of the AIFC.

The Forum is an international platform for an open dialogue between government bodies, international organizations, businesses and the public on issues of green energy and waste recycling. The goal of forum GEWR’25 is to consolidate the efforts of all industry participants to accelerate the transition to a circular economy in Kazakhstan and Central Asia based on sustainable waste management and effective recycling.

The Forum included plenary sessions with the participation of representatives from government bodies of Central Asian countries and international organizations, as well as round tables dedicated to global trends in waste management and sustainable development. Special attention was paid to the implementation of ESG approaches, the circular economy and the Taza Kazakhstan initiative. The concept of waste management, best practices in the management of industrial and hazardous waste, as well as the digitalization of waste management, PPP (Public Private Partnership) and EPR mechanisms were considered. Topics discussed included attracting investments and developing recycling infrastructure.
